A football pitch with its facilities

Rooftop photovoltaic louvers

The project in Laski (Mazowieckie Voivodeship) is an excellent example of the modernist function of building- integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), which gives photovoltaics a unique character.

For the investment project of a sports field with infrastructure facilities in the village of Laski, we provided a solution of photovoltaic louvers (also known as light breakers), which were mounted on a specially prepared steel and aluminum structure on a flat roof. The photovoltaic louvers are oriented to the three directions of the world – south and east and west, so that energy from the installation will be evenly produced throughout the day. Visible from the level of the pitch and the stands, the louvers create a harmonious and visually coherent composition, while obscuring the technical equipment located on the roof. What’s more, the glass louvers have a matte surface, thanks to the diffusion layer used, which is a proprietary product of DAGLASS. The diffusion layer has self-cleaning properties, so it realistically increases the yields from the photovoltaic installation throughout the year. The project and its execution is the crème de la crème and a model example of the wide range of possibilities of our photovoltaic panels.

Total photovoltaic installation capacity: 9,52 kWp
Total area of photovoltaic panels: 62 m2
Number of photovoltaic panel formats: 1
