Facade photovoltaic installation

On the existing building of the MEDICUS Clinic, we installed a total of 28 pieces of glass-glass photovoltaic panels, with a proprietary diffusion and anti-reflective coating. As a result, we estimate a significant increase in annual installation yields (up to 8%) due to better solar transmittance as well as the self-cleaning properties of the panels.

The installation was carried out in the form of a “second skin”, where, in a minimally invasive manner, we installed the mounting structure of the ventilated facade and integrated our photovoltaic panels. The installation with a capacity of 9.1 kWp, the panels are made in black, aesthetically integrating with the rest of the building block. Based on the analysis of data from the yields of the installation over the course of the few months of operation of the installation, our assumptions about the efficiency of production from the facade installation were confirmed (complementing the facade installation, are photovoltaic panels traditionally mounted to the roof).

The facade is able to produce (per kWp of power) much more energy in the autumn and winter months than a rooftop installation.

Total photovoltaic installation capacity: 9,1 kWp
Total area of photovoltaic panels: 50 m2
Number of photovoltaic panel formats: 1
